Your Body Belongs To You Original Hand Embroidery

This is part of a series of work I have been concentrating on for the last 18 months. This particular body of work is based on selfies, women and ownership of who we are. 

This piece took more than 50 hours to make and was an absolute joy in slow stitch. 

I love this process very much as it is a way of stopping and smelling the roses for me. 

The frame is a wooden embroidery hoop which measures 8in x 8 in, which is 20.32cm x 20.32cm.
