SOLD A Suffragist and Suffragette Bra

SOLD A fabulous hand embroidered bra all stitched by me. Millicent Fawcett and Emily Davison had very different approaches to getting the vote for women. Millicent was a suffragist and her approach was about calm and restraint. Emily however was a suffragette and took a more direct approach, this sadly cost her, her life. Millicent Fawcette said after Emily Davisons death, 'Courage Calls to Courage Everywhere'. 

This piece as with all my pieces is multi layered. You have the women, what they represent, the bra, the text and the targets.

This piece is framed with a beautiful, ornate, gold box frame, with Tru Vue museum glass.
