Feather In Your Hair Original Hand Embroidery

Fabulous embroidery of a vintage feathered lady. This work is part of an ongoing series  I have been looking and am fascinated by the selfie generation. How life is now documented not only by experience but by images of the experience itself. 

This piece took over fifty hours and is mixed media, with painting and very slow hand stitching. 

I love this process very much as it is a way of stopping and smelling the roses for me. 

The frame is a wooden embroidery hoop which measures 8in x 8 in, which is 20.32cm x 20.32cm.
